Football Friday

On the Friday after Thanksgiving we headed to Texas to watch the Follett Panthers take on the Meadow Broncos (would it be that terrible to be the Meadow Larks? come on) in their Texas 6-man football quarter final game.

I felt right as rain in the River Road HS Stadium.

And we got to see some pretty good football action.

Like Luke on offense.

And Luke on defense.

And Levi on offense and defense.

The folks at Follett were even nice enough to give Mark a job.

Probably to maximize the distance between themselves and that arm of his.

Here are some fans:

Well, when it was all said and done, it was Follett 44 and Meadow 39. On to Semis!

I would like to point out that, according to the media guide at the game, Luke is 5'9" and Levi is 5'8"(I am 5'10".) Hmmm. Also Luke was by far the muddiest player on the field at the end of the game. Levi was the cleanest (although it was a tie.)

After the game we went out to eat in Pampa,TX with the entire population of Follett, including Mr. Parker and family (not pictured.)

Everyone kept telling Mark how good his arm is looking these days. (shiver)

The arm does look great, but I wish he would lose the blood sucking device.
