In Which lobiwan Finds the Needle.

So this electric motor on the clean seed elevator had been making a funny noise, and one afternoon Dad decided that I should figure out what it was. Nothing like being on top of a ladder in the barn hayloft in the middle of the afternoon.
I quickly determined that the fan deally inside the back cover was loose. Getting the back cover off was the hardest part.

Aha! The set screw has come loose and worked its way out. Only problem--where did it land? Idid some test drops with tools to discover that the set screw could be anywhere in the barn, on either level. So, how do you find a needle in a haystack? That's easy- just use your trusty magnet sweeper:

Sure enough-- I don't think it took me but two minutes to find it. There it is right in the center of the above photo.

Put it all back together and climb down.
