Soils, Syncopations, Solitude

Something I meant to talk about a long time ago, but was just recently inexplicably reminded of.

A few weeks ago, the residents of Ford County voted to approve the construction of a destination casino in Dodge City. Proponents argued that the Casino would fit in nicely with the "Wild West" theme which has made Dodge City the bustling center of tourism which it is today. What other aspects of life in the "Wild West" could also be reintroduced to give the tourist an even more authentic taste of this most wonderful era of history?

A theme park called "Wild West World"
I am sure it would have lasted longer than two months if they had built it in Dodge City rather than Park City.

Whenever you are served a drink while standing at the bar someone should be required to smash a chair over your head.

And/or

When walking into a bar someone should shout out some a nasty sort of epithet such as "Why if it isn't that lilly livered, toe headed, gizzard eatin', marmot faced, donkey ridin', poor excuse for a spoon brained coward."

Of course these tourist ammenities can be extended to the children to make Dodge City a true family destination. Just substitute "Mc Donald's" for "bar."
