Happy Holidays 2010.

We had our annual Post-Birthday celebration, "Christmas." Anna decided immediately that this was the "best Christmas ever."

A dollhouse?

And a tea table? Can you say "spoiled?"

Tummy got some good stuff too.

Nothing says Christmas quite like finger puppets.

Anna made Betsy a really sweet book.

Show and tell:1 Parents:0

Anna made us a calendar in school.

The Awesome Alsops came to our house for a change, including the newest member.

Abby got what she wanted.

And there was more finger puppet fun.

Susan got something pretty to go with her pretty new ring.

And Steven got some nice smelling socks.

I got a present in a puzzle in a present.

It was a good morning/afternoon.

Back at the farm, Linda and Drew were attempting to play "race to untag yourself." But apparently they don't really know how to play.

And there was some pre-present hangin' out.

Joanna gave Anna this awesome travel art notebook.

Someone thought it would be a good idea to (once again) bring a bag of balls for people to throw at each other. I guess only one bloody nose is a victory?

Mary Ann gave Betsy this cool vase.

And Margaret gave me this awesome bit of awesomeness.

All the cousins present posed for a picture.

And then the bestest present of all. A drum that little Drewber made in Kenya out of a goat that he killed with his bare hands. Wow!

Then all the losers who are too good to live in GCK went home.

Linda had fun looking at her new dictionary.

We all had fun playing with the new Kindle.

The next day it was back to the grindstone, after picking out a new refrigerator, of course.

And the next day, thanks to the good people at the IRS, I decided I would go ahead and buy a new pickup. I went and talked to Dennis first, since that's who I wanted to buy a pickup from. Dad liked the color of this one. I liked the seating for six and the 3.42 axle ratio.

After we made the mistake of asking for a quote from a competing dealership, and after we waited for over an hour for them to let us out the door again with a quote on a three year old pickup with less features a mere $200 dollars under the quote we got from Dennis, we went back to pick it up for an overnight test drive.

I took the creepy owl on the mailbox that night as a good sign.

It looked good in the driveway too.

So I went and bought it. While I was doing that, they brought us our new refrigerator.

The next night we went and had Christmas with the Lowry's. Betsy's belly looked funny in the ornaments. Then we got to try out the four wheel drive on the ice.

We had a little snow on the ground by the next morning.

It was pretty.

That night we partied down with the Alsop's.

There was the slightest chill in the air by the time we got home that night.
And that was 2010.
