Soybeans.

Thats 3 cents per bushel per month in my pocket, thank you.
The green is volunteer wheat which has really taken off since the soybeans turned.
You can see why Betsy never rides along. Abby came out and rode one round on the combine during soybean harvest two years ago and got taken to the doctor and diagnosed with asthma the next day. Posted by Picasa

Attend the tale..

This is how I have been spending my evenings this week.

In this shot you get an idea of how much of the stage I can see. If I lean out and hold on I can manage to see most of stage right. Naturally most of the action happens on stage left.
This shot shows the ladder they put in front of my for Tobias to climb down. It pretty much ruins any chance of getting out during intermission.
If you're wondering, I get in by crawling under the xylophone and bells. Posted by Picasa

Heidi the dog 2005-2006

On Sunday Heidi finally beat Boyd's pickup to the middle of the road.
She really wasn't the brightest dog I have ever met.

Anna Marie (Becker) Streit 1916-2006

This last tuesday we lost Grandma Anna. I cannot tell you how lucky I am to have known her and how blessed I am to be a part of her family. She had an undisguisable love of life and love of people. We will miss you, Anna.

More Catching Up.

I went to the Nebraska game with Susan which I thought was lots of fun and where I got to see the biggest TV in the state of Kansas. Posted by Picasa

More Catching Up.

In Manhattan we stayed with Dan and Sarah. We had a great time hanging out with Phinn, I watched Dan build some banisters, and found out about Dan's secret love of Anne Hathaway. Posted by Picasa

More Catching Up.

Let's see... two weekends ago we got to go up to Manhattan to see Susan, Dan, Sarah, and Phinn. Dan and I had a fabulous non-trip to Topeka which consisted of returning to Manhattan with keys to a certain car and then repairing said car. Posted by Picasa

Anna shouldn't play poker.

Tonight Anna attempted to execute a full on kicking, screaming, rolling on the ground tantrum, but something--maybe rolling over into the dresser, or Betsy and I's shocked faces--struck her as very, very funny and she burst into riotous laughter.
