Just in time...
What should I get lobiwan for his birthday? I know that this question torments most of you yearly, and I suspect you are even more concerned this year since it is such a monumental milestone (30). Don't worry any longer, as I have a quite appropriate gift in mind:
I have a feeling it is going to be the best birthday ever...

The Little Mermaid
So last night we watched The Little Mermaid as a family (don't worry I zipped through all of the scary parts for Betsy's sake) and in the scene where Ariel is watching Eric on the ship, and Eric says to Grim "The right girl is out there somewhere, Grim, I just haven't found her yet" and they pan out to show Ariel hiding right below him, Anna yelled at the top of her voice "RIGHT THERE!!" It was pretty awesome.

In Which lobiwan Travels to an Organic Farm and Plays the Drums .
On Saturday what RPM likes to refer to as my "other band" AKA "Not Worthy" AKA the BCC worship band traveled to pert near Marienthal to play at a get together for foster families (which in a cosmic collision of reality and "next-blogging" you can read about here.) It was a nice and relaxed gig as: We didn't have the full band (so we couldn't play anything very complicated), we didn't ever rehearse (ALWAYS a plus in my book), and we were just background music for the horseback riding, wagon rides, goat petting, croquet, dunk tank, etc. etc. that was going on.

CPPics: To Boots's and two problems
Once we were done unloading at Boots's, Anna insisted on walking home. I was pretty proud of her for going the right direction...
This load of screenings I attempted to bring to Providence had live weevils in it, so we had to auger it into the other truck in order to fumigate it. Normally we would just dump such a small load (less than 100 bu.) on the ground, but not with wheat at $7.50...

R.I.P.
"In this fateful hour,
I place all Heaven with its power,
And the sun with its brightness,
And the snow with its whiteness,
And the fire with all the strength it hath,
And the lightning with its rapid wrath,
And the winds with their swiftness along their path,
And the sea with its deepness,
And the rocks with their steepness,
And the earth with its starkness:
All these I place,
By God's almighty help and grace
Between myself and the powers of darkness!"
